This Valentine’s Day, lingerie is an option, even if a relationship isn’t -
Now that the post New Year’s headache has finally dulled down enough to focus on more than those pesky resolutions that, let’s face it, you might have to work on next year, one might find themselves contemplating the next hurdle on the calendar. That dreaded day when we look for love on candy coated hearts and drown our emotions in milk chocolate. Cupid is lurking just around the corner and he’s ready to take aim. Whether or not you want to be an easy target, is up to you.
Some of you might already have your Valentine in tow and just need to make your dinner reservations. Others might be ready to send out an APB screaming “No Strings Attached.” Or maybe, “No Strings” is your thing and a night spent enjoying your status is in order. Whatever way, why not look fabulous doing it?
Sexy lingerie doesn’t have to be a cliché. It also doesn’t have to be for your Valentine. Who says you can’t wear it for yourself? If you’re taken and want to use the opportunity to spice things up a bit, brilliant! But if you’re ready to fasten those garter clips for yourself, you might just find the confidence you need to tell Cupid that you’re taking matters into your own hands. Love doesn’t have to make you a puppet on a string. And neither does your wardrobe. Why should your clothes (or lack there of) be the deciding factor in your relationship status? Why use fashion as a lure or a reward? Cutting those metaphorical strings and saying “Bye, bye, bye” (Sorry. Couldn’t resist.) to that way of thinking could be the sweetest Valentine of all. Whether you’re dolled up in a sassy little Betsey Johnson nighty or decked out in a H77 Corset and Maloles heels, you can be your own puppet master. Change it up. Take that sexy corset out on the town. Rock it with dark denim or a flirty skirt and a pair of patent wedges and give Cupid a run for his money. Instead of saving the see-through babydolls for the bedroom, sport an edgy babydoll dress with designer shoes and make the fun of dressing up for your Valentine fun for yourself.
