Camille Bloom straddles that fine line between rock and contemporary folk music, always flirting with both sides, but never crossing entirely, one way or the other. Despite its title, “Cowboy Song” is more roots-rock and blues than country or old timey cowboy song. It shows off all Bloom’s skills as a kickass growling vocalist and band leader, and it comes to you courtesy of her latest album, Ten Thousand Miles, recorded live at Columbia City Theater.
