New sights, new sounds; that’s what a road trip is all about. And that’s why a good weekend getaway on our states’ highways and byways is an absolute necessity. In that spirit of adventure, Sound took a handful of up-and-coming Northwest musicians on three unconventional road trips to explore the off-beat bounty of Washington and Oregon. Indie folk-pop band the Pica Beats, innovative emcee GMK and Portland folk songsmiths Horse Feathers brought their favorite road music to share and graciously let Sound’s photographers film the whole escapade.
